Drift Anchors

SAF10XX para anchors 400pxThe Fisherman Drift Anchor is designed specifically to be used by fishing vessels and other vessels that need to either drift with the tide or hold a position as closely as is possible. Available from 4ft diameter this can be used for vessels as small as 3m and up to 20m. The smaller sizes are supplied complete with retrieval and anchor lines (the anchor lines can be much shorter and more manageable than the Para Anchor because the Drift Anchor is generally used in normal weather conditions.)

If you are in a RIB and want to hold a position or are in a 20m commercial fishing vessel and need to drift with the tide/current in a controlled way then the Fishermans Drift Anchor will ensure that you can do this in a safe and controlled manner.

Please note the charts on the Para Anchor and Drogue pages should be used as an approximate guide only. Vessel details should be confirmed with manufacturer before ordering. Two boats of the same length, one with full keel heavy displacement the other light displacement would behave differently on the same Para-Anchor. Therefore each boat would require a different size Para-Anchor.
